Eurotrip August 2019
A short 6 day-roadtrip through Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia. Initially intended to focus on mountainous species, we expanded it a bit to the Adriatic coast.
SW-Iberia January 2019
Winter is by far the most interesting time to search for amphibians in the Iberian peninsula. We visited several sites in Spain and Portugal and saw all amphibians of the region and also some early reptiles.
Morocco October 2019
A 10-day trip through deserts and mountains in the middle and south of Morocco, seeing a wide array of species.

Turkey March 2020
A trip to SW Anatolia with as main target the different species and subspecies of Lyciasalamandra.
Israel March 2018
A 10-day journey through the Holy Land from the north to the south, seeing lots of different species of herpetofauna, birds and more.
Spain April 2018
A short trip of one week was made in the southeast of Spain. Main objective was seeing Common Chamaeleon (Chamaeleo chamaeleon) and Iberian endemic herpetofauna.
Sardinia February 2016
A short trip of 4 days in Sardinia in very early spring. Although activity was still low, we saw many endemics, including the stunning Speleomantes supramontis. Article can be found in Lacerta 75-6 (in Dutch).
About us
We are a group of young Dutch wildlife-enthusiasts with a great passion for nature all around the globe. We enjoy travelling to countries to see as many different species as possible. But also in the Netherlands we spend a lot of time in nature to search for all kind of animals and plants. During most trips our main focus is on reptiles, amphibians, dragonflies and birds, although we have a very broad interest. To share our passion we build this website, consisting of trip reports, short articles, dozens of pictures and more.
About Pantala
Pantala flavescens is the scientific name for the Globe Wanderer, a dragonfly species that is very widely distributed and is known for its capacities of flying over large distances. We also do travel around the world to see all kind of wild animals.
